Why a PDF Converter Instead of Print
Most ways to turn markdown into a PDF go through a browser's print dialog. That works, but the page was designed for a screen: a table can be cut in half at a page break, a heading can sit alone at the bottom of a page, and the output picks up the page URL and date.
This tool builds the PDF directly. Headings are kept with the paragraph that follows them, table rows and short code blocks move to the next page whole, and every page gets a page number. Fonts are embedded, so accented letters, Greek, and math symbols print correctly everywhere.

Is the text in the PDF selectable and searchable?
Yes. The PDF contains real text, not a screenshot of the page, so you can select, copy, and search it. Links stay clickable, and headings appear as bookmarks in the PDF sidebar.
Does it support math and LaTeX equations?
Yes. Inline math in $...$ or \(...\) and display math in $$...$$ or \[...\] are rendered. Display equations are drawn as vector graphics, so they stay sharp at any zoom. This is the notation ChatGPT, Claude, Obsidian, and Jupyter use.
Are images included?
Images with a public https URL are downloaded and embedded when the host allows it. If a host blocks that, the PDF keeps a clickable link to the image instead. Local image paths from your computer cannot be read by a web page.
How is this different from printing to PDF from VS Code or a browser?
Printing a rendered page works, but page breaks often cut tables and code blocks in half and the page picks up headers, footers, and the URL. This converter lays out the document for paper: headings stay with the text after them, short code blocks and table rows are never split, and pages are numbered.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The markdown is converted to PDF with JavaScript in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, so it is safe for private notes and internal documents.
